Wade Sorochan is a well-known radio personality in Alberta. As a mental illness survivor, Wade is a sought after motivational speaker sharing his inspiring personal story of living with mental illness at numerous events, including the 2011 International Symposium on Wellness and the 2017 National Mental Health Conference. Wade shares his powerful story about his lifelong struggle with anxiety and depression to help raise awareness about the serious impact mental illness has on individuals, families and society in general. Wade has been recognized as a nominee for the Alberta Lieutenant Governor’s True Grit Award for mental health awareness. In 2016 Wade Sorochan released the groundbreaking book UNSOCIAL MEDIA; Virtual World Causing Real World Anxiety. The book is impacting thousands of Albertans, including youth, parents, teachers and healthcare professionals about social media addiction.
