Celebrating Canada's 150th Birthday With Ice & Snow
We live in a winter country and that makes us unique. We have real seasons and we can't do all of our living in summer and a week in Mexico. I hope that I can inspire other artists and crafters to winterscape. It feels good to hear birds, traffic, and children playing. The air is crisp and your lungs feel like they got a real workout in the cold weather. The challenge for this project was the bitter stretch of cold that we got. Freezing buckets of water too fast would make the ice explode. It was comical, but time consuming. Also when it is -30C the buckets would crack. We enjoy the friendly people as they walk by. The snowmen slow down vehicles & the cats enjoy watching strangers in the yard taking selfies. A happy birthday to Canada!
